Enemy Storms

I heard the Lord saying

“be sober.”

God wants us to have a clear, disciplined, focused mind. Secondly, I heard the Lord saying

“be vigilant.”

The definition of vigilant is…keeping careful watch for possible danger or difficulties.

2 Timothy 4:5 But you, be sober in all things, endure hardship, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry.

Then, my Spirit man heard the Lord speaking the following word to me this morning, and I knew it was for others—many others—and not just for myself:

He is like a lion. He is roaring, he is hunting. He wants to ravage, and hurt. He wants and expects a quick fight, so you must endure and outlast Him. This enemy wants you to respond outside of the fruits of the Spirit. He wants you to pout. He wants you to question God and put Him on trial. He wants you sour. He wants you to quit, to give up. He, at the least, wants you weakened and less effective.

Psalm 27:14 Wait for the LORD; be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for the LORD!”

So stir yourself (You should know how to do that by now). Take on the strength of the Lord. This ravenous, predator enemy wants to destroy what you carry. It’s more about your assignment, your ministry, your gift than it is about you as a person.

1 Peter 5:8 Be sober-minded and alert. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.

So guard what you have already said yes to. Guard what is inside of you. Fight for that thing that has been entrusted to you. Endure for the sake of that beautiful thing that you’re cultivating.

1 Timothy 4:14a Do not be negligent of the gift in you.

Some of you are affecting territorial spirits, especially those of you that are being used by God to lift the offerings of worship and/or prayer. I hear the Lord saying to pay attention to the natural weather. This spirit is sometimes wrapping itself in the climate or the culture of your immediate region. It will, at times, possess (inhabit, embody) the weather. And it may, at times, spur ungodly emotions that will catapult a person or persons to act out and possibly commit unhealthy, unwise, or illegal activities such as arson, criminal mischief, riots, aggressive boycotts, or gunfire.

A storm—demonized weather—arose to resist Jesus and His disciples when Jesus was crossing over to the other side. And riots broke out in the book of Acts as the new Spirit-filled Church was expanding. Hence, what I’m hearing and writing about is nothing new, nor is it extra-biblical.

Lastly, I hear God saying that

breakthrough is coming—soon.

God is about to use you as a breaker. The river and the wind are going to flow out of you with spiritual fury.

Genesis 50:20 You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives.

Romans 8:28 And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.

So be encouraged my dear brothers and sisters.

1 John 4:4 You are from God, little children, and have overcome them; because greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world.

Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through him who strengthens me.

The breakthrough will be a birthing, a coming forth, of what you’ve been contending for. The enemy has been fighting you and your region for a reason. But if you will keep standing, God is going to turn the tide and victorious reward will bursts forth.
