A Prophetic Secret

Endurance. Become a person who perseveres. Pray to become a person with patience, steadfastness, lasting toughness. The last days will bring challenges. Don’t underestimate the battle. Make sure you have enough gas in the tank. This is the prophetic gem I believe Holy Spirit has been speaking to me as I have partnered with a group of intercessors, pursuing insights for this prophetic, final hour.

For months now I have been part of a corporate prayer group that has used…

“all things prophetic”

as our prayer focus. So far, we have used scriptural prompts related to the word prophet or prophecy. Somehow one of our texts came from Luke 21 for one of the prayer sets. Luke 21 is clearly a prophetic chapter, even including prophecy from Jesus. Afterwards, we sensed Holy Spirit wanted us to pray through this whole chapter, bit by bit. Then, when we got down to verse 19, it seemed like it was packing something extra and we were moved to stay with it and pray even more from this Scriptural thought. We committed ourselves to wait, listen, dig deeper. It has felt like God has given us a prophetic gem, a secret even.

I dare say this verse is important for the last days and I believe God has opened our prophetic eyes to see the importance of mining it, praying it.

Below I show this Scripture as it reads from a few different versions/translations.

NLT “By standing firm, you will win your souls.”

The last 3 Fridays we have intentionally prayed from scriptures that are similar to Luke 21:19. Below are those verses:

Hebrews 10:36 For you have need of endurance, so that when you have done the will of God you may receive what is promised.

James 1:3 for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness.

Matthew 10:22 and you will be hated by all for my name’s sake. But the one who endures to the end will be saved.

I think that praying from verses like these could be a healthy response to the warnings of the end-times regarding judgements, persecution, tribulations, and the falling away.

Keith Green wrote a song titled “I Don’t Wanna Fall Away From You.” That needs to be our heart. We can’t be so arrogant as to think deception, falling, or giving up couldn’t happen to us. I think praying for help, for patience, endurance, steadfastness is part of the answer.

Our flesh, soul, mind, heart doesn’t typically get excited about dire warnings, and prophetic clarion calls that beckon us to have or develop the necessary goods to accomplish endurance. But that’s exactly what I believe Holy Spirit is pointing out and selling to whomever will hear and respond. It’s like a prophetic secret.
