Genesis 20:7 is the first appearance of the word prophet in Scripture. In its first appearance, the prophet is linked to prayer—“he is a prophet and he will pray.”
Prophets pray. It’s what they do. It’s who they are.
The Law of First Mention in Bible Study is a hermeneutical interpretative principle that suggests the first time a word or concept appears in the Bible establishes its fundamental meaning.
Additionally, prophets speak. Because they see, hear, know, and receive revelation, they are correspondingly expected to speak, declare, prophesy, preach, warn, call to repentance, edify, encourage.
As Moses was receiving revelation, encounters with God, and mandates from the Lord, he worried that his oratory abilities were lacking and requested an assistant for this matter. God allowed him to have Aaron, his older brother, as a mouthpiece. Exodus 7:1 refers to Aaron as Moses’ prophet. It means that Aaron was the appointed speaker, in lieu of Moses.
Furthermore, it should be understood that prophets are distinct because of their heart to know God, His ways, and His will. In this regard, we should all aspire to be prophetic…to know God, to hear God’s voice, to have encounters with the Lord.
Numbers 12:6 And he said, Hear my words: If there is a prophet among you, I the LORD make myself known to him in a vision; I speak with him in a dream.
Prophets dream. Prophets have visions. And these experiences are from God. They reveal God, God’s mind, God’s heart, God’s perspective, God’s answers, God’s feelings.
In Joel 2 God promises a great deluge, an outpouring of His Spirit that will make all believers (old, young, men, women, all flesh) prophetic with the ability to see visions, have dreams, and prophesy. This started in Acts 2. However, it didn’t culminate in Acts 2. As a matter of fact, Jesus’ first miracle was a parabolic metaphor alluding to the last days outpouring that would be best at the last (John 2:1-11).
If God wants to give something, it’s right for us to want, desire, ask for that thing. Therefore, we should ask for dreams, visions, revelations that are truly from God and not of our own imaginations. Just because there is a false does not mean there is not an authentic. Let’s not allow the devil to win in the battle for the prophetic. Let’s press into the Lord and ask for the pure waters that freely flow from Him.
Revelation 19:16 On his robe and on his thigh he has this name written: king of kings and lord of lords. 17 Then I saw an angel standing in the sun, and he cried out with a loud voice, saying to all the birds that fly in midheaven, “Come, assemble for the great feast of God, 18 so that you may eat the flesh of kings and the flesh of commanders, the flesh of mighty men, the flesh of horses and of those who sit on them, and the flesh of all people, both free and slaves, and small and great.”
God is not just king, He’s the king of kings. He’s not just lord, He’s the lord of lords. He is supreme, divine, above all. In 2026, God will be boss to bosses.
Yes, God sets up and puts down. Quite a few will be put down/out in 2026, thus there will be need for new persons to be inserted, raised up.
Some will die. Some will not be re-elected. Some will be fired. Some will be ousted by takeover. Some will succumb to being caught for illegalities, some will lose too many court cases and appeals, some (even some true prophets) will experience rejection.
Like domino pieces beginning to fall. I see quite a few ministers, politicians, pundits, influencers, talking heads, leaders falling, taking a dive, leaving the picture, exiting their place. Some have been put in their elevated place not because God liked or favored them, but rather because He was positioning a domino piece. They are where they are so their fall could be more fitting.
Psalm 75:7 It is God who judges: He brings one down, he exalts another.
Some of our more notable persons are going to die in 2026. I’m not talking only about those 75+ years of age, I’m saying we’ll be surprised at some that die because we thought they were young or healthy.
I see lone wolves daring to leave the pack. There will be a departure from Ralph—a name that means wolf wisdom. Folks will begin to find enough courage to escape pack dominance. Like losing their religion, persons will dare to find their voice, individuality, their God beyond the box…the groupthink, the denomination, the party, the job, the company, the league.
For some it will be a wilderness experience. Lone wolves, Davids on the run, Moses’ as figurative fugitives, and Hagars as outcasts feeling unloved, unappreciated, unwanted.
I think the right posture for all of us in 2026 will be to choose humility, and choose to liberally and unashamedly praise and exalt God. Fear no evil. Stay close to God. And be a praiser.
From 2 Samuel 6:21-22. So I will celebrate before the Lord! 22 And I might demean myself even more than this and be lowly in my own sight.
1. I prophesy outpouring. This is in accordance with Joel 2:17-18,23, and Deut. 11:13-14.
2. I prophesy the mercies of God breaking out and reaching beyond what we want or believe. Consider what is said in Nehemiah 9:17.
“But you are a God ready to forgive, gracious and merciful, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love, and did not forsake them.”
Furthermore, consider the God of the book of Hosea, the God that is married to the backslider.
And consider the love and longing for a bride that can be seen in Song of Solomon better than any other canonical book.
3. I prophesy flood. I firmly believe Holy Spirit flood is coming to some ministries who possess the following characteristics:
1. they’re already in His will (appreciating and practicing Matt 5-7, which is Jesus’ sermon on the Mount teachings).
2. they’re walking in alignment with His heart (tending to the Isaiah 58 fast, and doing Micah 6:8).
3. They’re following His ways (humility, narrow way, the cross lifestyle).
4. Like Zech. 10:1 that says to ask for the rain, they’re actively praying for God to move, to save people, to heal people, to deliver people.
When I say flood I mean “overflowing blessings” like as that mentioned in Mal. 3:10, and “deep waters” like those in Ezekiel 47.
This outpouring will happen nationally and internationally. In America. And outside America.
This will coincide with last day’s events that will continue happening, even as the antichrist continues to emerge. There will be a few places that will be larger spouts of outpouring but simultaneously there will be many other places that will experience dynamic outpouring even though they’re in a lesser known, lesser populated, or for whatever reason they’re lesser broadcasted than other places.
God is really really really interested in a harvest. The promise of rain is all about a harvest.
This move will be pure.
This move will be separate from high places and political focuses.
This move will not be birthed by big names, oversized personalities, or major ministries. However, a few rich, celebrity, famous influencers will embrace conviction, repentance, humility and they, in turn, will be wholly accepted into the river of this outpouring of love, sanctification—this beautiful, unique move of God.
Lastly, I feel like Holy Spirit is revealing to me that other watchmen have been given this prophetic revelation but they have refused to see it, share it. Their eyes are yet downcast and their vision is spiritual but still limited to seeing mostly with discernment, seeing only to second heaven heights, and not seeing beyond the enemy’s operations. This was also the condition of Elisha’s servant. But Elisha prayed for his servant’s eyes in 2 Kings 6:17 and immediately the servant was able to see beyond the trouble. Some people only see the bad part of judgment. Some people only see the falling away. Those things are correct, but there’s more to see. God had to work on me for a few weeks before I could submit and allow Him to help me see this prophecy. I’m not better than others. At first I didn’t “feel” this word. I had to talk to God about it. I eventually had to surrender to what God was saying, despite what I was feeling. Then, the revelation opened up more full and clear. Lord, I pray for my brothers and sisters that they will see. Give them your eyes. Lift their heads, their vision, their hopes. Only you can do that Lord. Do it, Jesus. Please do it.
Here are some of the Scriptures mentioned in this prophecy that were referred to but not fully quoted above. However, I’m not listing whole chapters (such as Matt 5-7) or whole books (such as Hosea, Song of Songs), although personal reading of those would be a good follow up response if you choose to fully engulf yourself in this prophetic word. Anyway…
Joel 2:17 Let the priests, who minister to the LORD, Weep between the porch and the altar; Let them say, “Spare Your people, O LORD, And do not give Your heritage to reproach, That the nations should rule over them. Why should they say among the peoples, ‘Where is their God?’ ”18. Then the LORD will be zealous for His land, And pity His people.
23 Be glad then, you children of Zion, And rejoice in the LORD your God; For He has given you the former rain faithfully, And He will cause the rain to come down for you— The former rain, And the latter rain in the first month.
Deut 11:13 “And if you will indeed obey my commandments that I command you today, to love the LORD your God, and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul, 14. he will give the rain for your land in its season, the early rain and the later rain, that you may gather in your grain and your wine and your oil.”
Micah 6:8 He has told you, O man, what is good; and what does the LORD require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?
How did we get to this place where our president says his favorite Bible verse is “eye for an eye”? And he openly, repeatedly admits that he hates his enemies. And he is clearly fueled by revenge.
How did we get to this place where we’re becoming more uncaring towards people with disabilities?
How did we get to this place where we demean and belittle people of color? How did we become so unashamedly uninterested in their history, their plight?
How did we get back to this uncivil pretense that native peoples were savages and our coming here introduced them to Christianity and saved them?
How did we get so cold that we think it’s okay to disdain, mistreat, and mock foreigners?
And how did we get to a point where our elected officials behave like children and daily call each other derogatory names?
How did we become callous towards the deaths of children in school shootings?
How did we become a people that regularly, openly, religiously mock, bully, loathe, and attack people who are lgbtqia?
How did we get to a place where we think it’s wrong to care about the struggles and suffering of others? How did we think it was intelligent and not demonic to war against a word such as empathy? How do we go along with heartless banter that suggests sympathy, empathy, compassion = wrong and weak?
I’ve been casually checking these brutish manifestations off to an endtime prophecy that states the love of many shall wax cold (Matthew 24:12). And thats absolutely accurate. However, it’s an incomplete answer.
In osteopathic medicine, there is this focus that targets the cause and not just the symptom. So, with that approach let’s look deeper.
There are consequences. One thing leads to another. Sin leads to negative outcomes.
Lovelessness is a symptom. Lawlessness is the root that causes, or allows the symptom.
The complete verse in Matthew 24:12 doesn’t just prophesy a time where love would be waning. Heres the whole verse:
“And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold.”
Friends, the breaking, evading, or ignoring of the law is a pervasive exigency. Our cities and streets sometimes suffer from lawlessness. The modern church is sick with lawlessness. Our government and our corporations are increasingly lawless. And the current POTUS models lawlessness.
Many who claim to want law & order really just want dominance. That’s law without love. That’s an antichrist reality. That’s what you see in dictator regimes.
Meanwhile, much of the modern church (especially the mega churches) actively, agressively seeks to detach itself from the Old Testament, and the preaching of holiness, righteousness, repentance, sanctification, and the fear of the Lord. This has been a demonic trick to turn the church 100% against law. Of course Jesus is our savior. But Jesus didn’t come to abolish the law. He came to model righteousness. He came to call us to the cross. The cross is where we nail our fleshly desire to live without right and wrong guidelines. It’s where we surrender to a higher way—the narrow way. There is no greater love than that which bleeds from a cross. For this world, things aren’t likely to change and improve. Our systems, debates, gatherings, efforts can never bring a righteous revolution. But we can choose to be different. We can seek sanctification from this world’s ways. We can follow Jesus. We’re in the last days. I think this is important.
I’m not wholly wrapped up in being for or against either political party. I’m a Jesus guy. That’s my aim. I pray that Jesus remains my devotion and chief passion.
Last week, another white guy shot a murderous bullet. As far as I know, he didn’t identify as they, although for some reason, the assasination continues to be blamed on they. I suppose the they that the angry folks are speaking of are black people, or lgbtq+ people, or women with jobs, or women without children, or nonchristians and non-Jews, or democrats, or pro-choice individuals, or the percentage of Americans that didn’t vote for Trump. They are the enemy. Therefore, all of them are they and they are all symbolically guilty of murdering Charlie Kirk.
However, the truth is that the bullets didn’t came from either party. If it matters, one party even wants to do something to curb shootings, even shootings that happen to those they disagree with.
But, there’s so much hate in the world. And love is ever waning.
Matthew 24:12 Sin will be rampant everywhere, and the love of many will grow cold.
If you claim to be a Christian and you really desire to be a good one, please separate your identity from any die-hard devotion to a political party.
We have a President who leads the charge in insults, and name-calling. Unfortunately, he regularly exudes vulgarity and models mean-spiritedness.”
Charlie Kirk wasn’t perfect. Charlie Kirk did some good. Charlie Kirk went around intentionally arguing with people. Charlie Kirk was insensitive and demeaning towards people of color. That’s not okay.
Someone recently told me they believed like Charlie Kirk. I didn’t attack them for that. I did however point out that I believe in Jesus Christ. Charlie Kirk and Jesus Christ are not the same. Republican/Conservative is not the same as Christian. Jesus rejected the political ambitions and distractions and He commands us to heed the beckoning of 2 Cor. 6:17 that says “Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you.” It has to be Jesus only. Not Jesus plus politics. These other things, especially politics, are idols and distractions from the narrow way. Our answer isn’t on the right or left—it’s Jesus. The systems of this world don’t have to define us.
‘Worship the Lord your God, and serve him only’” (Deuteronomy 6:13)
Can we like/love someone that’s different than us? Can we like and love persons from the other political party? Can Christians like/love Muslims? Can Christians like/love a trans? Can I like/ love racists?
Matthew 5:44 But I say to you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you”
Charlie Kirk’s death doesn’t mean we (Christians) are at war. That’s how the flesh responds. That’s not the Spirit. That’s not Jesus.

I must die like Jesus taught me. I must pick up my cross. I must lay down my arguments, my anger, my boiling passion, my need to be right. Everything else is a trick, a distraction, a temporary world. I must live for eternity. I must learn to walk away from the fray. I am the battle. I must win the battle against my own flesh, my own pride. I’m going to keep praying and keep asking God for His help. And I’m going to keep trying to obey as He keeps pointing me towards a better way.
