Deception

I see a massive, ungodly, spiritual force emerging. It has been waiting for this time. This is a continued unfolding of the last days playing out right before us.

This force, this shadowy darkness, is known in Scripture as deception. It is the same deception that Jesus warned us was coming.

Consider these warnings:

Ephesians 5:6a Let no one deceive you with empty words

“Do not be deceived” 1 Cor 6:9-10, 1 Cor 15:33, Gal 6:7.

Colossians 2:8a See to it that no one takes you captive through philosophy and empty deception

1 John 3:7a Little children, make sure no one deceives you

2 Thess 2:3a Let no one in any way deceive you

False Apostles, false prophets, false teachers, and false anointings were warnings concerning the last days. These false spirits—deceptions—are active now.

It’s happening

Many of these men and women who are falling-for-it and becoming something false have been lured down a rabbit trail of deception. Such trickery fools some believers because it’s a faux gift, akin to discernment. On a sensory level, it feels so close to the real thing.

Others who veered away from simple soundness may have been baited down the wrong path because of suspicion, fear, or personal preferences. Alas, they go truth-hunting, researching, digging, and investigating. Unfortunately, the fake scent of revelation will lead many to unhealthy extremism and into divisive worldly plots.

Furthermore, teachers, especially endtime-prophecy teachers, will be teased down a trail searching for hidden truth; the scoop. Sadly, their soulish hunches and sniff-arounds will come up empty and unfounded.

Suspicion and discernment are not the same thing.

I have seen this wicked force opening its factory of lies. I have seen it writing conspiracy theories.

I have seen its goals. Along with the tragedy of deception, this darkness wants to sidetrack and distract intercessors. It wants to divide the church and divide the culture. It also wants to confuse and discredit Bible Prophecy teachers.

We will be wise to consider some of the following tips given to us within the New Testament.

* Be sober.

1 Peter 5:8
Be of sober spirit, be on the alert. Your adversary, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour

* Be alert.

* Unplug from the matrix.

2 Tim 2:4. No one engaged in warfare entangles himself with the affairs of this life, that he may please him who enlisted him as a soldier.

* Get discernment.

1 Cor 2:14 The person without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God but considers them foolishness, and cannot understand them because they are discerned only through the Spirit.

* Know the Word.

John 17:17 Sanctify them in the truth; your word is truth.

* Know God.

John 17:3Now this is eternal life: that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent.

* Embrace sanctification.

Gal 5:1 It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.

I pray a blessing over your eyes, that they become more and more lovesick for Jesus. And I pray that your heart remains hungry for Truth. And I pray that you are shielded from deception by the mighty blood that was shed for your redemption.
