  • The hearts of Fathers and Sons.

One challenge facing spiritual fathers is the fact they’ve been there and done that. They’re not easily impressed, which is an okay thing. But, it’s a little harder for them to receive a word from someone else because they have already personally accumulated copious amounts of knowledge and experience. They’ve been places, seen things, done stuff, read a lot, and heard so many intelligent talks and interesting stories. Fathers and mothers are mature, which is great. Nevertheless, they must allow Holy Spirit to keep their hearts humble, excited, childlike.

A couple of the challenges facing younger ministers (and believers) are: 1. anxious ambition and 2. ignorance.

Few people read or write on being an excellent son or daughter. Being an excellent son or daughter isn’t studied or focused on enough. Older folks are typically more into the idea of fathering and leading. Besides, they wouldn’t want to come across as egotistical or self-serving by talking about the need for betterment amongst the underlings.

And, younger folks are more focused on becoming, achieving, accomplishing, progressing, graduating. Basically, they’re working on surviving and arriving.

Hence, the young (new) minister or believer is enthralled with the idea of having a title. Plus, they tend to self-promote because… well, they’re working hard. Their selfies and social media accounts tout their worthiness.

Many of these young bloods want to be an Apostle, or Prophet; the trendy esteemed titles. Simply, they want to be seen and esteemed, heard and validated. It’s not always an easy, fun season of life. So, please don’t think this is meant to demean or judge those that are pushing through this time of their life, as they labor to figure everything out.

They sometimes lack in patience. They have mouths and floppy things on the sides of their head, but leaders (like Jesus) will want to find someone among them that has… ears to hear.

Unfortunately, they are rarely fascinated or satisfied with simple. Thus, they tend to complicate matters by thinking they should add some bright and shiny stuff, technical stuff, and entertainment type of stuff.

Meanwhile, there is a promise that God is going to turn the hearts of the fathers and sons toward each other. The Spirit is now working to help us figure all this out and step into an incredible blessing. What a glorious time.

  • Dead, Lost Identities

There are many in this generation that have been attacked by the enemy. There are those who have been fooled and deceived concerning their God-given identities. Some have been led to believe they are gay. Some have been tricked into thinking they were assigned the wrong gender. Some have been so victimized by addiction that their original, innocent identity seems forever lost. Others have been abused, abducted, or trafficked and their identities have been stolen. In each of these cases, the Lord says their God-given identities have fallen asleep. It’s like they are now dead, dry bones…with no more true life or identity.

Nevertheless, God is ready to raise these bones. The wind of prophecy, life, and hope is coming like unclaimed promises from the many generations before today’s. Although they may be something akin to walking zombies with only a hint of who they were born to be, these fossils are fixing to encounter a quickening. God is going to rediscover them and overwhelm these lost ones with the power of His love until it overrides all the lies of their deceiver. Identities will be redeemed and these that have been thought of as lost causes by some will arise with callings and holy purposes.

They will march. They will swim. They will move forward with fire and determination.

I see dead people… coming back to life. They are the bones that God is going to revive and raise up from the dry, no hope valleys.

So, let the winds begin to blow. Heaven is ready to howl out new breath.

  • The Sound of Awakening

New York State and those doggone lawmakers cant abort God’s plan. Revival is coming, anyway.

On December 27, in New York City, a transformer blew up. There was a boom, followed by a lingering hum. The New York Times quoted a police officer who said the sound and explosion could be felt in your chest. From the combustion, New York’s night sky was painted with an electric blue hue. The color of Holy Spirit was a sign in the Heavens.

Fast forward one month, same city. New York passed a bill allowing abortions all the way up to birth. To celebrate, the top of One World Trade Center was lit up in pink.

    Or, is something

Wait. Could it be that the biggest gender reveal party ever is playing out right before our eyes? As signs in the heaven, separated by a rare blood moon occurrence that helps get everyone looking up… the great mystery moment asks us if this is about the birth of a boy or the birth of a girl? Blue for boy. Pink for girl. But the answer is given by Joel 2, Isaiah 44, and Acts 2, which all state a prophecy foretelling an outpouring of the Spirit that will come on our sons AND daughters.

It’s not a boy OR a girl. It’s both! God is going to give life to our sons AND daughters.

So, don’t be too quick to give up. Remember, at times in the Bible when babies were being killed…God was up to great deliverance (Moses, Jesus).

Man has voted in favor of abortion, which is death. God has voted in favor of revival… coming back to life. Anything we can kill, the Holy Ghost can revive.

God’s moments are the ones that overshadow man’s worst moments. Get ready because God is already ready.

God is saying “It’s time. I’m releasing the sound of Awakening. No man will be able to stop what I’m going to do.”

If we begin agreeing with the accuser, the one who is eager to curse, we will be accomplices to spiritual abortion attempts. As believers, our government is higher than state, or federal hearings. Our hopes aren’t in Senate, Congress, Democrat, OR Republican positions.

So, let’s agree with the heart and hope of Heaven. Jesus saves! His grace is even bigger than this horrific sin.

Therefore… Speak life. Speak blessing. Repent. Stand in the Gap. Be the intercessor. Be the sound of breaking; the sound of awakening.

  • The mystery of art

Wall Mart doesn’t sell art. Art isn’t something that can be industrialized, mass manufactured or produced.

Ever heard the term “starving artists”? There’s a reason artists and creative souls often live lowly, somewhat poor lives. It’s that they don’t care. They aren’t motivated by accumulating things and moneys. Their motivations are the mysteries that comprise their uniqueness.

Today I walked through the bookstore and I perused the offerings on the shelves with so many bindings that I strongly suspected were written for what I consider —the wrong reasons.

If an author sets about his work simply to make a living, or receive a paycheck… (s)he has trespassed into a hallowed garden.

True artists, writers, musicians, singers, painters, architects, sculptors, storytellers, designers, and dancers cannot help but do what they do. Sometimes they don’t have reasons. Or, they don’t trouble themselves over the need to figure out the mystical “why.” They are free from such hesitations, wonderings.Their very DNA bleeds with a passion to produce. And that’s enough.

Sometimes the art comes from their guts… their soul. Sometimes their mind, their disciplined grind, their skill applied to the work will birth the beauty. And, sometimes, they are (a)mused to amaze us.

Artistic, imaginative, contemplative people inherit their gears, their wiring from the great Creator… God.

Real art comes from sketch pads, journals, garages, makeshift studios, and simple hideaways. Then, wherever art can find a celebrated home… that’s a hallowed hall. It might be something such as a museum, venue, or library. A gathering place for things of the heart.

True art comes from an invisible place: A dream, a thought, a sound. And how do you put a price tag on something so beautiful as that. A creative soul molds imagination into something everyone can see, hear, and appreciate. It’s the mystery of art.

  • East Tennessee Prophetic Forecast

I see revival coming to East Tennessee. I see a new breed of evangelists with a yesteryear mantle and anointing running out of Knoxville.

I see Holy Spirit soaring over the valley regions. He’s brooding over places like Harrogate. The wind is wanting to blow. It’s waiting for the power of prayer and desire to fuel its journeys. The Great Smokey’s will be targeted and even White Pine will taste of God’s glory. God is planning an outbreak of revival across East Tennessee.
